How to Read Bollinger Bands

Bollinger Bands are another very useful tool which works to help determine the volatility of a currency. Your charting software will generally handle them, so you don’t really need to know how to calculate them, just how to read them and use them. They’re based on two standard deviations above or below the mean of the last twenty periods moving average.
