I must say Friday was somewhat disappointing for me. Not just because the Non Farm came out almost as expected but the UK industrial Production did not hit out triggers and neither did the Cad Employment figures. All three of these releases are generally very good movers. If I had it my way I would fire all the analyst and hire new ones with no experience. ?
I will say that the Cad Trade Balance was the saving grace. I actually got a requote and did not accept it however there were many in the room that did trade this and picked up a few pips however the majority of us were focused on the NFP. Videos of all the trades are below.
Let start with the UK industrial production. This release came out with only .1 in deviation which signaled a no trade so there is not a whole lot to say. We did have a handful that traded with very little deviation and picked up a few pips. However as a whole the room passed as it did not hit my sage triggers. To see the video click on the link below.
UK Industrial Production
The next release we were watching was the CAD Employment figures. I must say I was most disappointed in this release as it is generally a very cut and dry trade with little confliction. I actually like that one better than the NFP as there is less risk in my opinion because the revisions seem to be less prevalent and the market does not react as violently with the revision that do occur.
This one came out very close to the expected so we passed on the trade. To see the video for this release click on the link below.
CAD Employment Figures
The next release we were watching was the Non Farm which came Out almost as expected. Surprisingly it only deviated by 2k which is hardly anything so this was a big disappointment. As I wrote earlier the saving grace was the CAD Trade balance which was released at the same time and did hit our triggers moving over 80 pips. To see the video of this trade click the link below.
US NFP and CAD Trade Balance.
No trades in the room for tomorrow however the RSS ia set up to trade quite a few releases for those that are members.
Good Luck trading!!!
