TRADE OPPORTUNITY TONIGHT
There is an opportunity to trade tonight when the AUD GDP
report is released at 9:30pm EDT. The expectation for the GDP
(QoQ) figure is 0.3%. We have placed a safe trigger of 0.4%
for this release. We have historically seen moves of around 25
to 40 pips when this release has met the safe deviation. We
will not have the Live Trade Room open for this trade, but I
wanted to make you aware of the opportunity.
Our next Live on the News trade opportunities will be on Friday
when we will have the Canadian Labor Change (which is one of my
favorite news releases) and the US Non-Farm Payrolls reports.
We will send out another e-mail regarding these trade
opportunities later.
BANK FLOW WEEKLY RECAP
It was another positive week on the Bank Flow trades that
Jonathan Silver posted last week. There was only one loss, and
the positive trades have now been closed with up to 200 pips of
profit each. You could have netted approximately 350 pips last
week by closing out at the best exits on the profitable
trades. Traders participating in the Bank Flow Trade Room were
able to re-enter some of the trades for additional profits.
The trades that were called last week are as follows:
5/28/08 – Sell EURJPY @ 164.29 – Closed partial at +65, rest at
+200
5/29/08 – Buy USDCAD @ 0.9831– Closed partial at +50, rest at
+200
5/29/08 – Buy EURUSD @ 1.5545 – If followed guidelines, could
have closed partial at +40 or breakeven; otherwise -55 pips.
When this trade got down to the stop area, Jonathan posted that
you could re-enter a buy at 1.5490, and that could have
provided up to 100 pips of profit.
5/29/08 – Sell USDCHF @ 1.0508 (half lots) – Closed at
breakeven after seeing approximately 30 pips of profit;
Jonathan suggested re-entering at the same price in the Bank
Flow Trade Room, and some traders did make profits on the re
entry of up to 100 pips.
Even if you just closed the trades when Jonathan gave his first
partial close or move to breakeven signal, you could have
netted about 120 pips last week even without re-entries.
