I would like to recap the trades for this week and let you know
of the upcoming trades we will have next week. We had two LOTN
trades this week:
10/23 – Canadian Retail Sales – No trade
10/25 – US Durable Goods Orders – No trade
NEXT WEEK’S OUTLOOK
Next week looks very promising as we will have six news
releases we will be trading in the Live on the News Trade
Room. The reports are as follows:
US GDP Annualized
Release date: 10/31/2007 08:30:00 AM EDT
Canada GDP
Release date: 10/31/2007 08:30:00 AM EDT
US PCE Core (MoM)
Release date: 11/01/2007 08:30:00 AM EDT
US ISM Manufacturing
Release date: 11/01/2007 10:00:00 AM EDT
Canada Net Change in Labor
Release date: 11/02/2007 07:00:00 AM EDT
US Non-Farm Payrolls
Release date: 11/02/2007 08:30:00 AM EDT
We look forward to these opportunities as we have had some very
strong moves on some of these releases in the past few months.
I will be sending out specifics on each Live on the News Trade
Call prior to each of these releases.
NZD AND AUD TRADE OPPORTUNITIES
In addition to the LOTN trades, there will be additional
opportunities to trade on some New Zealand and Australian news
releases. We will have triggers set for these trade
opportunities:
NZD Merchandise Trade Balance
Release date: Oct 28, 2007 5:45:00 PM EDT
AUD Retail Sales MoM
Release date: Oct 31, 2007 8:30:00 PM EDT
Australia Trade Balance
Release date: Oct 31, 2007 8:30:00 PM EDT
TRADE OPPORTUNITY SUNDAY NIGHT
There will be an opportunity to trade Sunday night when the NZD
Merchandise Trade Balance report is released at 5:45 pm EDT.
Your focus should be on Trade Balance figure, which will be Row
1 of the RSS and is expected to be -$700 Million. We have
placed a safe trigger of $500 Million for this release. A
worse than expected number (more negative) will be bad for the
NZD and signal a sell on the NZDUSD. We will not have the Live
Trade Room open for this trade, but we did want to make you
aware of the opportunity.
I hope everyone has a great weekend and I look forward to
seeing you on Wednesday for our next Live on the News trade.
